Today’s hike was around the cliffs to the east of Banyuls-sur-Mer. If anyone knows what type of rock this coastline is, I’d love to know. Claude.ai claimed “The coastline east of Banyuls-sur-Mer is primarily composed of metamorphic rocks, specifically schist, which is part of the Pyrenean geological formation. These dark-colored schists are heavily folded and layered, creating the dramatic cliffs and coves (called “criques” locally) that characterize this part of the Côte Vermeille.” Which sounds good… #photography #coast #cliffs #mediterranean

Today’s walk was around the lake at Leucate. Absolutely beautiful views of the mountains across the lake. So wonderful to be here in the sunshine.
